林五は1890年の創業以来、長く使える鞄作りを続けてきました。
見た目の美しさだけではなく、耐久性、修理できる構造、素材、作りなど、すべては長く使うためのものづくりです。

「KUBERA」は、インド神話に登場する財宝の守護神の名に由来します。
「9981」という数字には、複数の意味が込められています。
2つの「9」は、守護神クベーラが持つ9つの財宝と、最大にして“到達点”としての9。
その掛け合わせである「81」は、日本の国番号を示しています。
この数字は、日本から世界へと向かう人々と、そこで紡がれていくそれぞれの物語を意味しています。
KUBERA9981は、その歩みに寄り添う存在でありたいと考えています。
“The Meaning Behind the Numbers.”
“KUBERA” derives from the name of the guardian deity of treasures in Indian mythology.
The number
“9981” holds multiple meanings.
The two “9”s represent the nine treasures held by the guardian deity
Kubera,
and the number 9 as the “final destination”—the largest positive number.
The product of
these two, “81,” represents Japan’s country code.
This number symbolizes the people journeying from
Japan to the world, and the individual stories that unfold there.
KUBERA9981 aspires to be a constant
companion on that journey.
